History

Mrs. Velma Morrison and the founding  Board of Governors recognized that in order to assure a stable operating budget for the Morrison Center, an endowment would be necessary. The Harry W. Morrison Foundation stepped up with not only seed money, but they also provided matching funds for public gifts and pledges made through October 1985. The purpose was to insure no appropriated public funds were used for either maintenance or operation of the Morrison Center.

Today, the Morrison Center Endowment has assets of almost 15 million dollars.

Mission Statement

The Morrison Center Endowment Foundation’s goal is to impact quality performances at Idaho's premiere performing arts center. We do this by partnering to underwrite the operating expenses of the Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts, subsidizing production costs for Treasure Valley's local arts groups and sponsoring performances of high-quality national and international artists.
